HOW TO APPLY

**PLEASE NOTE: Dysart Unified School District participates in the Department of Homeland Security E-Verify system. Dysart will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm eligibility to work in the United States. Thank you for your interest in employment with Dysart Unified School District! Applications are accepted for open positions only. All open positions have a job posting number attached to them. Dysart provides an online application system (see link to the left) that can be used to apply for all jobs except food service personnel. To apply for food service positions, call Southwest Foodservice Excellence at 623.876.7075.

Please note: Applications remain active for six months from the date the application is submitted. To keep an application active beyond this time period, log in to your online application prior to the six-month deadline. After logging in, you can review the information and make changes or add additional information if needed. You will need to re-submit your application by selecting the 'submit' button even if changes were not made to your application. After receiving confirmation that your application was successfully submitted, your application will remain active for an additional six months from the date it was resubmitted. Certified Applicants

Certified applicants include teacher, counselor, speech language pathologist, occupational therapist and physical therapist. In order for your application to be reviewed by an administrator for an existing opening, you will need to complete and submit the following:

  • Resume
  • Arizona Teacher Certificate or evidence that you are in the process of obtaining a certificate from the Arizona Department of Education. Out of state teaching certificates are not accepted. You must obtain a reciprocal Arizona Teaching Certificate issued by the Arizona Department of Education. For certification requirements and information on the certification application process, please contact the Arizona Department of Education at 602.542.4367.
  • Transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • A copy of your Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • A completed background check form. You must print out the form (see above link to obtain form), fill it in completely and sign it prior to providing it to us.
  • SEI certificate
  • Documentation to support highly qualified status

Completed applications are screened by Dysart administrators. Applicants are selected and contacted by district personnel. Please do not contact the specific principal or school you are interested in. Your application will remain active for six months from the date submitted or updated.

Administrative Applicants

In order for your application to be reviewed by an administrator for an existing opening, you will need to provide the following:

  • Resume
  • Arizona Teacher Certificate or evidence that you are in the process of obtaining a certificate from the Arizona Department of Education. Out of state teaching certificates are not accepted. Support Staff Applicants

Dysart only accepts applications for open support staff positions. In order for your application to be reviewed by an administrator for an existing opening, you will need to provide the following:

  • Resume
  • Transcripts (if required for the position)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • A completed background check form. You must print out the form (see above link to obtain form), fill it in completely and sign it prior to providing it to us.

All clerical positions will require pre-employment testing on Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry/typing assessments. In addition, some of the positions will require additional testing on student information systems (SASI). Exempt positions require additional assessments.

Nurse Applicants

In order for your application to be reviewed by an administrator for an existing opening, you will need to provide the following:

  • Resume
  • Transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • A completed supplemental nursing applicant form. This form will be emailed to you upon receipt of your support staff application submission.
  • A completed background check form. You must print out the form (see above link to obtain form), fill it in completely and sign it prior to providing it to us.

Completed applications are screened by Dysart administrators. Applicants are selected and contacted by district personnel. Please do not contact the specific principal or school you are interested in. Your application will remain active for six months from the date submitted or updated.

Guest (Substitute) Teacher

In order for your application to be reviewed by the Human Resources Department, you will need to complete and submit the following:

  • Resume
  • Arizona Substitute Teacher Certificate. For certification requirements and information on the certification application process, please contact the Arizona Department of Education at 602.542.4367.
  • Transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • A copy of your Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • A completed background check form. You must print out the form (see above link to obtain form), fill it in completely and sign it prior to providing it to us.

Offers of Employment

Offers of employment are not finalized until the selected candidate is contacted by the Dysart Unified School District Human Resources department and the hiring is approved by the Dysart Unified School District Governing Board. Salary decisions and discussions are handled by the Human Resources department. Offers of employment are contingent upon a clear background check, fingerprint clearance and checked references with previous employers/supervisors. Support staff employees will be required to submit fingerprints prior to beginning employment with the Dysart. If a support staff applicant is recommended for hire and does not have a fingerprint clearance card, they can have their fingerprints taken at the Human Resources office by appointment. A $29 charge will be assessed to the support staff employee and will be deducted from the employee's first two paychecks.
